Jonah’s heart surgery is on the schedule…Wednesday July 13th @ 9 am.
We are pleading Exodus 23:25: “But you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst” over Jonah and believing in faith that God will heal his little heart.
We serve a God who can remove sickness from our midst. What a great and merciful God!
As we continue to pray in faith for healing we are also preparing our hearts for the ‘other option’ and that is the surgery itself. Isaiah 55:8-9 says: “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.” So many times when we feel in ‘our heart’ the best path (and we always choose the easiest path) God flips that upside down and sideways and does it His way; because it all comes back to God receiving all the glory, whether it is through a miracle healing or it is done by the hands of a surgeon that God Almighty created.
On July 13th Jonah will be 11 weeks old. We are relieved in a sense to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel; knowing that Jonah will be given the ability to thrive with a fixed heart. He is such a trooper as he huffs and puffs when drinking his bottles; sometimes taking up to an hour to finish 2 ounces.
We ask for you to stand with us in some specific prayers:
We thank you in the name of Jesus Christ for your support and prayers! ~ D
